GLANDON offers the best of both worlds. Similar to staying in a hotel, our guests benefit from top-quality service, a simple check-in process and the option of staying for only a short time. Much like in a rented apartment, our guests also have their own cooking facilities, can enjoy their privacy and are provided with a high level of security.

GLANDON offers its business and private clients furnished apartments at fair prices. We offer different price classes with various standards of apartments. Guests benefit from the full service regardless of which category of apartment they opt for. This means that ancillary costs, Wi-Fi, apartment cleaning, changing of bed linen and towels every two weeks, and the final cleaning service are all included in the price.

A large number of our clients rent a GLANDON apartment due to a new temporary or permanent job, or because they are working on a new project, moving into a new house or are studying. Nowadays, business apartments are not only popular with foreign business travellers. Many Swiss people also make use of our apartments. For example, the young person who has to move to a new city for their studies. The old couple who appreciates the extra services, such as cleaning every two weeks. Or the tradesperson who has to work on a construction site in another city for a couple of months. Our apartments are also popular with people who are going through a separation or have to relocate for a short while due to their building or apartment being renovated.

Yes. Our tenants have their own postboxes, so they can receive letters and parcels. You can use our rental agreement to register with the respective municipality.

With a few exceptions, a GLANDON apartment can accommodate two, or up to four people, depending on the size. If two people stay in an apartment permanently that has less than 3.5 rooms, a surcharge of CHF 150 will be applied. This is to cover the greater amount of work needed for cleaning, changing towels and bed linen and the higher ancillary costs.

Guests enjoy a comprehensive range of services. The following services are included in the price:

In principle, all of the costs related to your rental are included in the GLANDON rent charge. One exception is the statutory radio and television reception fees (Serafe). Please note that every individual registered in Switzerland or every household is responsible for paying this fee and it is not classed as a standard ancillary cost for a furnished apartment. The fee also applies to tenants of furnished apartments.

We clean the apartments every two weeks. If you would like your apartment to be cleaned every week, this can be arranged and is subject to a surcharge.

No, bed linen and towels are provided and will be changed every two weeks.

We offer parking spaces in most apartment buildings. Please contact us to find out more.

No, smoking is not permitted in any of our apartments.

Pets are not allowed in our apartments.

Yes, internet access is included in the price. Up to three devices can be logged in simultaneously in each apartment.

Most TVs can be connected to the internet. We would be happy to help you once you have moved in. Should the TV in your apartment not have smart capabilities, this TV can be connected to your laptop easily using an HDMI cable.

No. Please note, however, that permanent double occupancy in an apartment would be subject to a surcharge of CHF 150 per month. This surcharge would be CHF 75 for a period of up to two weeks. In return for this surcharge, the second person would receive their own bed linen, towel and key/badge.

Yes, our minimum rental term is one month.

You can check-in by arriving at the apartment in person between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday. Our employees will tell you everything you need to know so you can get your stay in your new home off to a great start. In exceptional cases, self-check-in may be arranged by agreement with us.

If apartments are available, they can be rented from partway through the month. However, we only accept terminations at the end of the month, for the following month.

You need to pay the deposit, the reservation fee as well as the first month’s rent at the latest one day before moving in. You will be reimbursed the deposit and reservation fee upon moving out of the apartment.

Yes, long-term rentals are possible. You can enter into a contract on an open-ended basis. In the case of an open-ended tenancy, the notice period is one month. You can terminate the contract at the end of the respective month.

• GLANDON will send the rental agreement via email. You can sign this agreement electronically using your computer mouse. The link to the rental agreement is valid for 24 hours.
• Once you have signed the rental agreement, you will receive an automated email, asking you to pay the reservation fee (only possible with a credit card). When you move out, we will, of course, reimburse you the reservation fee together with the deposit.
• After you have paid the reservation fee, you will receive another automated email containing the countersigned rental agreement, an email with the invoice for the deposit and another email with the invoice for the first rent payment due. You can pay the deposit and rent via credit card or by bank transfer.
• It is important that you pay both invoices at the latest one week before you move into the apartment. Otherwise, we will not be authorised to issue the apartment keys.
• To ensure that we can reimburse you the reservation fee and deposit promptly upon the termination of the rental agreement, you will receive an automated email two weeks prior to moving out, featuring a link to a page where you can enter your bank account details.

To draw up the rental agreement, we will require the following information/documents:

• The number of people who will live in the apartment permanently
• A copy of each occupant’s passport
• Current residential address
• Name of employer and a copy of the employment contract
• Telephone number and email address
• Desired rental agreement term – temporary or open-ended
• In some instances, you may be asked to provide a copy of your employment contract and/or an excerpt from the debt enforcement register.

Relatively high. There is a one-month notice period for all of our apartments. For this reason, we will only know at very late notice which of our apartments will be free at the end of the month. An apartment in your desired area may become available after all.

We offer flexible check-in solutions. Our guests can also move into a GLANDON apartment on the weekend or outside of business hours.

We have fixed prices that are non-negotiable. For reasons of fairness with respect to all of our tenants, we do not offer any discounts.

Please call +41 (0)848 10 10 10 and leave a message on the answering machine. We will call you back within a maximum of 30 minutes. We can be contacted outside of office hours and will help you get back into the building or apartment as quickly as possible.

You can connect a maximum of three devices to the GLANDON Wi-Fi network. The error message states that you have tried to log in with more devices than permitted. We recommend that you manually log out of all of the devices you have used previously – even if these were logged in a long time ago – so that you can connect your new device. To do this, simply access the “internet.glandon.ch” website on the device you wish to log off the network and click the “Log off” button.

GLANDON has access to your apartment. However, we will never enter your apartment without good reason and without informing you beforehand. Should we wish to access your apartment, you will be given 24 hours’ notice via email. If we grant an external person access to your apartment, e.g. a tradesperson, a GLANDON employee will be present for the entire time they are in the apartment. The cleaning staff assigned to you will also have access to your apartment every two weeks. On the day on which cleaning takes place, a member of our housekeeping staff may randomly inspect the cleaning work carried out. In the event of an emergency, e.g. water damage, these notice periods may not be observed, as we have to enter your apartment as quickly as possible.

To ensure that we can lease your apartment again immediately after the end of your rental agreement, viewing appointments may be held in your apartment. These will always be carried out in the presence of a GLANDON employee and you will be given at least 24 hours’ notice of these viewings via email.

Cleaning will always take place on the same weekday. Please understand that we cannot cater to requests for specific cleaning days due to resource constraints. Should you be ill on the day on which your apartment is scheduled to be cleaned, please contact us to arrange an alternative date.

We appreciate your understanding that we do not issue our invoices in paper form. Our invoices are automatically generated and are sent out via email.

GLANDON sends out rent invoices on the 20th day of each month. The rent for the subsequent month must be paid by the end of the current month.

We would be very pleased with this situation. Please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to allow you to extend your stay in the same apartment. If this is not possible, you will be offered an apartment in the same or a similar category, depending on availability.

Please contact us as soon as possible. We will attempt to lease your apartment to another tenant for the remaining term of your rental agreement. If we manage to do this, we will, of course, reimburse you the rent for this month together with the deposit and the reservation fee. However, if we are unable to find a new tenant, the rent for the period of time the apartment is empty until the end of the lease will need to be paid. In the event of an extraordinary termination, we charge an administrative fee of CHF 150 for the extra work this will create for us.

To ensure your termination is legally binding, please send your written notice by post: GLANDON Apartments AG, Luzernerstrasse 8, CH-6045 Meggen. We need to receive it by the last day of the month prior to the month in which you intend to move out. We will send you email confirmation of your termination as soon as we have received the notice of termination by post. Please contact us if you would like us to send you a template for your notice of termination. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late notices of termination.

You must have checked out by 10.00 am on the last working day of the month at the latest. We will contact you in good time to arrange an appointment.

Please note that the apartment and the appliances therein must be in good condition upon checking out and you must not leave any personal belongings, empty bottles, cans, newspapers, rubbish bags, etc. in the apartment. The final cleaning service is included in the price. Any additional costs will be invoiced separately. Your name plate will be removed from your postbox on the day on which you move out. Please make sure to set up the change of address order with Swiss Post in good time: www.post.ch/adressaenderung.

That depends. If the last day of the month falls on a weekday (from Monday to Friday), check-out will take place at 10.00 am. However, if the last day of the month falls on a weekend or on a Swiss public holiday, check-out must take place by 10.00 am of the last working day beforehand. Generally speaking, check-out is on the last day of the month and check-in is on the first working day of the month.

You will be reimbursed the reservation fee and deposit within two weeks after you have moved out.
